Monday night was the banquet, and it was wonderful.  Thank you Holly, Dave, Jenna, Phil, Anne, Anthony, Joe, and especially my co, Alana, for an absolutely amazing year.  I'm truly going to miss our executive board and this year.  When I ran for that position, I didn't think nearly half the stuff that happened would happen; it exceeded my expectations by hundreds of miles.  Always remember Z is for jazz square and V is for...

1. What year was the best year of your life? hmmm...I really enjoyed this year ...amazing staff, amazing exec board...

2. One animal or insect that Noah should have left off the ark?  I vote for the birds outside my window.  Now, I as big a fan of birds as the next guy, but not at 6am when I'm getting up at 8:30.

3. Do you make a wish before blowing out your birthday candles? Yup.

4. Do you generally open your bills on the day that you receive them? Yes and then I put it back in my mailbox.

5. How many pillows are on your bed? Two!

6. Favorite ice cream flavor?  Cookie Dough, Mint Choco Chip, and recently I've really been enjoying sherbet, regardless of the fact that Wegmans doesnt want me to get to it...damn the waxers!!

7. What is the most dominate color in your wardrobe?  I'd have to say blue, but I do have quite the colorful wardrobe.

9. Would you rather go to a carnival or circus? Carnival...but I'm not a fan of either.  The rides at the carnival don't really look so safe, but I really can't stand the smell of the circus.

45. Did you ever make a prank phone call? i hate prank phone calls.  Every morning at home whenever I used to listen to BLI, I would change the station when the Phony Phone Prank calls were being made.

Yeah, I have a carpet...it's the one LD and I bought, like, 30 years ago at Chase-Pitkin.  I didn't even know what Chase-Pitkin was.  Look at all the things I've learned this year!

Speaking of this year...it's so getting to THAT TIME.  That time when an RA starts to realize that maybe instead of putting this in a drawer, it should just go in the garbage, and when the banquets and reunions start to overlap, and when you realize that the people you've seen all year will completely change becase you're getting new residents.  I need some new residents.  Some residents that need me.  I just have to keep in mind that, as Kevin pointed out, I did help some of these guys.  They're just ready to move on.  Alicia and I are going to kick some ass on 2 North. ;-)

I cleaned my room tonight, as a result of my one and only friend going out with the soccer team, and my other one and only friend having her boyfriend here.  It's not a bad thing to stay at home and do some homework on a Saturday...I swear.  I had such an amazing Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday, that it was about time I got something done around here.  Like be a student.  Or do my job.

Alana and I just finished our end of the year report.  It's amazing.  The report itself is amazing, and it's also amazing that we're...done.  In a little over one month, I'll be RBD.  Wow.  NEACURH--look out!

I am taking this from Leah's UJournal because it needs to be repeated.  I, too, have had quite the range of emotions today, and it's only 5:00.  That's what happens when you get up at 7:30.  Read on for some interesting info, and Leah, I hope you don't mind.

"There was more vandalism on campus this weekend. This time it was anti-gay instead of anti-jew. The person(s) who did it wrote on the displays outside of Alice Austin. They were set up for The Laramie Project. It makes me so angry. I just want to understand why people act like this. What goes on in the heads of people who deface property, hard work, and personal liberty. It makes me sad to think of someone feeling the only way to stop something is to perpetuate the problem. Did that really do anything? Did writing on the Laramie board make the "problem" go away? Did it make you feel better? What, exactly, were you planning to accomplish?

I was walking from the Union and overheard a conversation between three girls who were walking by banners placed outside in response to the vandalism. One started the conversation by asking why the banners were out there, and another responded by telling her what happened. The third said about the banners: "what a good idea". They then started talking about how awful it was that the vandalism happened in the first place, and that they were glad people were doing something. Then, I heard the first girl say something that made me want to hug her. She started talking about her words. She said that she used to think words like "gay" or "fag" were great comebacks, but when she came to school, she realized that those words hurt. Her friends joined in and one started sharing a story about some brother/boyfriend/friend that she used to say that to. The third girl said she hadn't realized how hurtful the words could be.

The girls were walking behind me, and I was really intent on listening. I realize that the people I surround myself with are very open and accepting individuals. Recently, I have seen both the amazing positives and sad negatives surrounding the issues of diversity. One part of the Week of One we never accounted for was that if people talk, we aren't always going to hear what we like. Those who may not be as open to diversity will be stirred to speak in addition to those who want to make a difference. Still, it's the price we pay to get people talking."

Yeah, in the CoPA with Double N and all I really want to do is SHOWER.  One class left to go for the day, and I'd rather not be stinky.  :-P

Plans for the day include Walmart ("Every year for Christmas, I take all thirteen of my grandkids to Walmart..."  Well, do they all go in one car, or do they drive their Power Wheels?") and some red shirt action with Amanda and a member of next year's staff (Daga o4-05, here we come!).  VERY upset about missing the Hawaiian party at TH 9, especially since they're "operating at 100%."  With Marcy being here, it's so different, yet so the same.

Going to see The Laramie Project tomorrow, and that should be a good time.  It's nice to have a weekend where the only unenjoyable thing I really have to do is write a humn paper.  And of course, a couple of "meetings" here and there--like the LAST GODA MEETING OF THE YEAR.  Hallelujah.  The time has come.

Hmm...went to humn with the worst professor ever.  He isn't really even my professor, and he makes me want to keel over and die when he says "right?" about four bazillion times a minute, even when quoting Dante.  Luckily, Martha keeps me sane, and on the way back I ran into Leah, who let me complain the whole way, and Amanda, who gave me CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!! 

I came back and slept because I am having some "discomforts," and then attempted to sleep through Voice and Fluency (note to self:  get notes from Meghan).  That worked until #1--birds outside my window felt it was a good time to wake up all who were sleeping and #2--Martin called.  Sheesh.

Well, Double N is back which makes me super excited^{to this power}, and we're going to eat lunch together in a bit.  There's this strange stain outside someone's door on my floor, and it looks like water, but it hasn't dried yet.  I don't even know. 

Off to lunch, then Spanish class (raise your hand if you didn't read!), then studying for humn until 5:30, then taking bottles back to Wegmans to save the rainforest, then dinner, then IRC, GODA, and more studying.  I can't wait until humn is over_{times 400}.
