Let's see...this weekend was A-MAZING. The weather was beautiful, Marcy and Kevin came to visit, The Laramie Project was absolutely indescribable, and ARD Appreciation Day went off without a hitch. It was so good to see Marcy and Kevin, and Townhouse 9 was "at 100%" Thursday through Sunday. :-)
On Saturday, Jenn, Dave, Janet, Robbie (haha), Leah, Brian, and I got together to decorate LD's office and room for ARD Appreciation Day, and we had a really good time doing it. Katie made some signs beforehand to help us out, too. I think LD was really surprised when she came back from her MCATS and it made me so happy to know that she really liked it. She will also have Peppermint patties until the day she dies. :-D
The Laramie Project--no words. Jenn, Leah, Vito, and I went on Saturday night. It was absolutely wonderful. Way to go, cast and crew of Laramie, especially Robbie who did a wonderful job on follow spot. If you didn't go see the show, you definitely missed out.
Tomorrow I'm going to observe the National Day of Silence. I've had enough of the closed mindedness on this campus in the past few days (and months and years), from the graffiti to just having very loud, closed minded conversations in the Quiet Study Room. I hope someday everyone can just be.
On a lighter note, congratulations to Corinne, Janet, Jenn, Katie Story, Kari, and Kevin Hahn for being elected to NRHH executive board positions, and Phil, Angie, Meredith, Emily, and Jess for being elected to IRC executive board positions! Hopefully, Dave and Anthony are on that list, too, but I left early, so I have no idea what's going on. I'm super excited about both the NRHH and IRC banquets. :o)
